Kindergarten Enrichment Program

The Kindergarten Enrichment Program (K.E.P.) is designed to work in conjunction with our kindergarten curriculum to enhance your child’s learning. K.E.P. provides a full day kindergarten as well as a flexible schedule in which our students are given the opportunity to hone their academic skills and participate in hands on learning activities.

Every day your child will be challenged to...

Our program is designed to prepare your child for 1st Grade. Our staff works closely with our kindergarten teachers to assure all children are reaching their greatest academic potential.

Throughout the day your child will have private reading, receive one-on-one homework help, socialize at lunch and recess, and learn individual responsibility

In addition to educational support, we understand the importance of learning through hands on experience. Our multi-sensory approach helps our students develop essential social and emotional skills. We offer children the ability to choose between a variety of stations including art, computer games, and free play. We are mindful to incorporate science, technology, engineering and math in our classroom.

Kindergarten Parents,

I would like the take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Melissa Monasterio. I began working in the kindergarten department in 2002 and became the Director of the Kindergarten Enrichment Program (formally known as KAP) in 2011. I am blessed to work shoulder to shoulder with a staff of godly women. We are excited to announce our new full day program, as well as continue to offer our convenient daily options.

My faithful staff will spend time each day working with the core kindergarten teachers, assisting with reading and classroom academics to improve the educational experience of our students. As a result, our staff will understand each child's strengths and weaknesses, and will be prepared to enrich or remediate as needed. This enables us to create a full day academic experience for our students. Each child will have the opportunity to complete their phonics and math worksheets and review their reading lesson. It is our desire to reinforce what they learn each day in class; however, we also provide work to review at home. Please follow the supplemental daily homework assignments provided in your child's folder. As we know, children are so excited to show you just how well they can read and write.

Your child will also have a large dose of fun through a variety of hands on experiences, such as computer stations, arts/crafts, music, science discoveries, large group games, individual play stations, and much more. We are mindful to create opportunities to promote growth in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics to encourage a lifelong love of learning.

We have a variety of payment options available. Please contact Mrs. Aiello, our financial secretary, for any billing questions: This email address is being protected from spambots. This will cover supplies for the Enrichment Program from crayons to snacks throughout the entire school year.

Whether you use our program daily or occasionally, we are happy to enrich your children's kindergarten experience. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

In Christ,

Melissa Monasterio
